September β Solid and Controlled
- 13 Sep β Coventry City 1β1 Norwich City

This was Coventry at their most explosive. Five wins from six included back-to-back away thrashings at Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday, while the monthβs only defeat did little to dim an outstanding run.

- 08 Nov β Stoke City 0β1 Coventry City
- 22 Nov β Coventry City 3β2 WBA

- 04 Jan β Birmingham City 3β2 Coventry City
- 10 Jan β Stoke City 1β0 Coventry City

- 26 Jan β Norwich City 2β1 Coventry City

TRANSFER RUMOURS
Troy Parrott
Striker
According to journalist Sebastien Vidal on X, Coventry and Ipswich are both interested in signing Ireland striker Troy Parrott. Parrott has scored more than 30 goals for the Dutch side AZ Alkmaar this season. He is a preferred signing target for Coventry, and a transfer fee of Β£15 million-Β£20 million has been suggested. It is noted that Parrott has been successful abroad but has not demonstrated his ability at the top level in England.
Nathan AkΓ©
Defender
Pep Guardiola has stated that he wants Nathan Ake to stay at Manchester City this summer, but admitted that he is unsure about Ake’s future. The defender has been linked with a move to Coventry City following suggestions from former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam. Ake has one more year left on the deal he signed at Manchester City in 2023. Coventry City would likely have to pay a decent fee for Ake, and it is expected that he would earn close to, or even over Β£100,000 per week even if he takes a wage cut. According to Capology’s estimations, Ake currently earns Β£160,000 per week.
Mason Mount
Midfield
Manchester United are open to parting ways with Mason Mount this summer, with TEAMtalk sources indicating that a permanent sale is unlikely owing to the midfielderβs substantial wages, which are set to rise further following the clubβs qualification for the Champions League. The 27-year-old joined United from Chelsea in 2023 for an initial Β£55m but has struggled to establish himself consistently. A loan move, potentially with an obligation or option to buy in the summer of 2027, is now viewed as the most probable outcome. Several clubs have expressed interest, yet none appear willing to absorb Mountβs salary on a permanent basis, making a straight sale exceptionally difficult.
FIXTURES
Coventry City’s 2026/27 Premier League fixtures will be announced in July.
